FLY Leasing has signed agreements with a leading Asian airline to purchase and lease back three new 737-800 aircraft.
The lessor stated that one of the aircraft has already been delivered, with the remaining two aircraft due for delivery before the end of 2014.
CEO of FLY Colm Barrington said: “We are continuing our strong fleet growth with the addition of three new 737-800s, increasing our total acquisition this year to 19 aircraft valued at more than $800m.”
He concluded: “Our recent issue of $400m of unsecured notes, combined with more than $300m of capacity in our acquisition facility, provides FLY with the financial resources to maintain our growth trajectory.”
To date, FLY has a fleet of more than 120 aircraft on lease to 65 airlines operating in over 35 countries.
