FLY Leasing has announced its acquisition of a 737-800 and an A330-300 to be leased to airlines in North America and Asia respectively.
The Airbus aircraft is the first of three A330s that FLY is acquiring in a sale and leaseback transaction with the Asian carrier.
Colm Barrington, FLY’s CEO, confirmed that the lessor was planning to make more than $460m worth of acquisitions this year.
FLY bought four 737-800s in June this year, purchased through unrestricted cash, and in July announced agreements for three A330-330 aircraft and a 737-800.
To date, FLY has a fleet of 120 aircraft on lease to more than 65 airlines.
