Germany To Top European Aviation Market

Airbus’ Global Market Forecast (GMF) for the next 20 years predicts that traffic to Germany is set to grow 3.5 per cent per annum. The company expects this growth to generate a need for 1,821 aircraft. Germany is currently served by 1,013 aircraft. This is will rise to 1,821 in 2032 with requirements broken down into 1,338 narrowbody, 386 widebody and 97 very large aircraft. Europe is expected to require 5,950 new passenger and freight aircraft over the next 20 years, around 20 per cent of world-wide demand.
