Gulf Air Swimming Out Of The Red

Third-quarter loss at Gulf Air has halved from a year ago as the Bahraini carrier’s restructuring begins to bite. Gulf Air has cut its workforce by 27 per cent, resulting in cost reductions of almost a third. "The results speak for themselves, the airline is now in a much stronger position than it was a year ago and remains on-track towards achieving the financial and operational goals of the restructuring strategy,” stated chairman Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.
