Honeywell Signs SunExpress Avionics Deal

Honeywell Aerospace has signed a contract with Turkish low-cost carrier SunExpress to supply cockpit avionics for the first delivery of its order for 25 737-800 aircraft.

Honeywell said the deal includes supplying its IntuVue 3-D weather radar and SmartTraffic collision avoidance systems to Antalya-based SunExpress, which currently operates a fleet of 60 737-800s.

The avionics suite also includes: quantum line communication and navigation sensors, Mode S transponders, flight data and cockpit voice recorders, flight data acquisition management and aircraft communications addressing and reporting systems.
