Ilyushin Finance (IFC) has signed two firm orders for a total of 20 Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft during Russia’s International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS 2013. IFC ordered five SSJ100LR aircraft in a 103-seat configuration – a higher capacity than standard due to IFC’s request for slimmer seats. The first deliveries are due at the end of 2015. The second contract is for 15 Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft in its basic version. The first deliveries are also due in 2015 and will go to IFC’s customers in the South-East Asia and the Middle East region. Sukhoi Superjet 100 LR version differs from the standard aircraft in that: It can reach 4578km; it has an increased take-off weight of up to 49.45 tonnes; it is equipped with a SaM146 engine with a five per cent higher thrust than the basic version. The deliveries will be financed with the support of the Russian Government, which is backing extended bank credits to customers buying Russian products.
