IFE Market Set For Growth, Says New Report

The global in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFE&C) market is expected to grow as airlines try to differentiate and gain a competitive advantage and as demand for air transport increases, according to a new report from Frost & Sullivan. The report, 'Global In-flight Entertainment Market Assessment', says the market will “witness strong consolidation as in-flight entertainment and connectivity suppliers aim to create a one-stop shop for customised content solutions”. It says the market earned revenues of $2.08bn in 2012 and estimates this to more than double to $5.27bn in 2020 at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12.8 per cent (2011-2020).
