JetBlue, Airbus Sign Agreement For A320 Sharklet Retrofit

JetBlue Airways and Airbus have signed a letter of intent to acquire 110 ship-sets of retrofit sharklets for the airline’s in-service A320s; deliveries are set to start in 2014. JetBlue unveiled its first sharklet equipped A320 only last week. The new wing tip devices are expected to improve aerodynamics and reduce fuel burn and emissions by up to four per cent.
