JetBlue Washington Slot Bid Provisionally Accepted

JetBlue Airways’ bid for 12 slot pairs at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) has been provisionally accepted. The low-cost airline intends to use these assets to add 12 new roundtrip flights to the 18 it currently operates daily, introducing nonstop trips to cities outside its current service area as well as adding additional flights to existing routes. The slot pairs were made available by a Department of Justice mandate in the merger between American Airlines and US Airways.
