LHT Wins Israeli Contract

Lufthansa Technik (LHT) has won a contract with Israir Airlines, making it the first foreign MRO provider to receive approval for line maintenance from the Civil Aviation Authority of Israel. Under the agreement, the airline will rely on the MRO’s services within the framework of a ‘Technical Operations Management’ (TOM) contract. The main elements of the contract are maintenance services, with a dedicated facility having been set up at Tel Aviv airport for this purpose. The contract extends to the airline’s A320 fleet, which currently consists of two aircraft, with a third on order.
