Lufthansa Technik and Jet Airways have expanded their cooperation with a Total Component Maintenance contract for 80 Boeing 737NGs, with single components repaired in a closed-loop and flat rate-based process.
In addition, the existing Total Component Support contract for Jet’s widebody fleet was extended by another seven years to provide extensive component pooling-based support for 10 Boeing 777s and eight Airbus A330s.
“Our experience in component support and also our long-lasting activities in the Indian market will help us to further improve the best possible technical support for their fleet,” said Gerald
Steinhoff, vice president corporate sales Asia Pacific at Lufthansa Technik.
The German MRO has had a presence in India for the past decade through its Lufthansa Technik Services India subsidiary, located at Banglore International airport.
At the facility, it provides component repair services on Airbus A320 and A330 aircraft, along with as Boeing 737s and 777s.
