Myanma Signs Lease Agreement With GECAS

Myanma Airways is to lease 10 new Boeing aircraft from GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS). The airline, which is the flag carrier of Myanmar, signed for six 737-800s and four 737-8 MAXs during the Singapore Air Show. Deliveries of the aircraft, which will come from GECAS' existing order book, are scheduled for delivery starting in June 2015, ending 2020. The airline has also signed a memorandum of understanding with GECAS’ consulting arm, AviaSolutions, for the latter to develop a "strategic growth plan" for the airline, including route and network development.
