The Qantas Group is to upgrade its full fleet of A330s and order new 737-800s for Qantas Domestic, due 2014. It will also extend its leases on two 737-800s this year. Starting in late 2014, the group will reconfigure 10 A330-300s and 20 A330-200s, equipping them with new flat seats in business class, a modernised economy cabin and a new in-flight entertainment (IFE) system. Qantas International will operate the A330-300s between Australia and Asia, while Qantas Domestic will fly the A330-200s on routes between the east coast and Perth. Qantas Domestic will then retire its 767s.
