Qatar Airways will continue its expansion into China by starting flights to Hangzhou on an A330, while its cargo operations will also develop. The non-stop service from Doha to Hangzhou, the fourth-largest metropolitan area in China, will fly four-times a week from 20 December. Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker said: “This year we celebrate 10 years of flying to China. The addition of our seventh route in China will provide additional connectivity for business and leisure travellers connecting from Asia, the Middle East and GCC countries.” Qatar Airways Cargo has also announced it will begin scheduled freighter services to four new destinations in Beirut, Lebanon; Madrid, Spain; Paris, France; and Tbilisi, Georgia. It will also increase frequency to Seoul, South Korea and increase capacity on its Oslo, Norway route.
