Qatar Cargo Adds Three A330-200Fs

Qatar Airways Cargo has added three new A330-200Fs to its fleet of seven aircraft. The Airbus aircraft replace three A300 freighters that the airline has phased out of its fleet. Airline CEO Akbar Al Baker said the new freighters added “significant capacity”, and coincided with the opening of a $1bn cargo facility at Hamad International Airport later this year which will see Qatar Airways Cargo “handle 1.4 million tonnes of cargo annually, more than tripling the capacity of the existing facility”. The company is also set to take delivery of its fifth 777 freighter next month.
