A second bidder has emerged to rival Bohai Leasing’s offer to acquire 100 per cent of Irish lessor Avolon.
The unnamed third party submitted an offer to buy 100 per cent of Avolon on Friday (July 31), which led to Bohai increasing its initial 20 per cent offer made last month to 100 per cent.
Avolon said it has neither accepted or rejected the offers and will continue to “carefully evaluate” them.
The Irish lessor, whose directors supported Bohai’s initial bid last month, has a fleet of more than 260 aircraft with customers including Air France, American Airlines and Ryanair.
