Royal Brunei Airlines (RB), Brunei's national carrier, is to launch its daily 787 Dreamliner service from Dubai to London today. The aircraft touched down at London Heathrow at 6:50am today and will take its first flight from there to Dubai at 17:05. Royal Brunei flies daily to Dubai from London Heathrow (Terminal 4) with onward connections services across Asia, the Middle East and Australasia. Speaking ahead of the launch, Deputy Chairman Dermot Mannion outlined: “The United Kingdom represents an important market for us, as a gateway for European tourists travelling to Brunei and beyond. The long awaited arrival of our Dreamliners into service cements RB as a real competitor in this region. We are delighted that we will be the first airline to offer a Dreamliner service from London to Dubai and on to Brunei.” The airline plans to operate daily 787 flights to Melbourne from 2Q 2014, becoming the first airline to offer an exclusive 787 service on all long-haul flights.
