SAA Takes Two A320s

South African Airways (SAA) has taken delivery of two new A320 aircraft, bringing the total number of narrowbodies to join the airline’s fleet this year to six. Another A320 is expected to be delivered in June this year, with two more in the third quarter and a final one in the fourth quarter. SAA is currently undertaking a fleet replacement programme; for its narrowbody fleet this includes the acquisition of twenty A320 aircraft to replace its 737-800s with a further aim to increase the fleet to support route expansion plans into Africa.
