SAS Adopts Swiss-AS’ AMOS

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has signed a contract with Swiss Aviation Software (Swiss-AS) to implement its ‘AMOS’ software. SAS plans to start using the software in Q3 2013, hoping that it will allow them to offer “more competitive technical operations” whilst “maintaining a strict control of airworthiness and maintenance activities”, commented Gorm Frimannslund, head of SAS technical operations. Adopting the AMOS system will help the airline move away from fully customer-tailored solutions towards industry standard solutions, further supporting its policy of ‘4 Excellences Next Generation’, the airline said.
