Scoot, Tigerair Seek To Expand Co-Operation

Singapore-based budget carriers Tigerair and Scoot have signed an agreement to extend their existing interline co-operation. The agreement could see sales and marketing of parallel routes, as well as alignment of policies, conditions, pricing and scheduling, “to pave the way for a seamless integration of systems and improved connectivity”. The airlines will submit an application to the Competition Commission of Singapore (CCS) for anti-trust immunity. The CCS process is expected to take “a few months” and will include public consultation.
