South African Carrier Gets CF34 Support Coverage

Engines are used to power regional airline’s Embraer E-Jets.

South African regional operator SA Airlink has signed a 10-year agreement for GE Aviation TrueChoice engine maintenance coverage on the CF34-8Es and CF34-10Es powering its three Embraer 170 and 10 190 aircraft.

The suite of services available to Johannesburg-based SA Airlink includes flight hour, overhaul, material and transitions services.

“The selection of TrueChoice by SA Airlink was based on its capacity to deliver top-quality OEM maintenance and engineering services at a competitive and predictable price and with comprehensive risk transfer in respect of the costs and impacts associated to unscheduled breakdowns and in-service modifications,” said Neil Wilson, executive manager for maintenance contracts within SA Airlink.
