The force is strong with two new Star Wars-themed liveries that will debut soon on All Nippon Airways (ANA) and United Airlines.
In anticipation of the movie premiere of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in December, United will fly a Boeing 737-800 with livery featuring Star Wars imagery that reflects both the light and dark sides of the Force. Each side of the aircraft’s tail will feature a different colored lightsaber, as well as X-wing and TIE fighter starships. In addition, the interior of the aircraft will feature headrests with emblems from the movie’s rival factions, the Resistance and the First Order.
Meanwhile, ANA will fly a C-3PO themed Boeing 777-200 with matching exterior and interior. The livery was painted by MRO Japan March 1-18, 2017. Like United’s aircraft, ANA’s interior features Star Wars headrests with C-3PO themed covers.
United’s Star Wars-themed Boeing 737-800 will be introduced in November and can be tracked on its various routes by its tail number, N36272. ANA’s C-3PO 777-200 will fly specific routes out of Haneda Dec. 1-14.
