Start-Up Air Lituanica Outlines Plans

New Lithuanian carrier Air Lituanica carried 50,000 passengers in its first six months of operation and plans to add two Embraer jets to its fleet over the next six months. The Vilnius-based carrier is now Lithuania’s only airline following the collapses of FlyLAL in 2009 and Star1 Airlines in 2010. In H1 2014 Air Lituanica wants to begin flights to Moscow as it pushes towards a goal of 13-16 destinations by 2015. The airline currently flies a single leased E170.
