Tiger Pushes Back Fleet Renewal

Singapore's Tiger Airways has ordered 37 A320neo aircraft, to be delivered from 2018 to 2025. The commitment means that Tiger will cancel an order for nine A320ceos originally scheduled for delivery in the next two years. "This deal effectively dissipates some concerns over a potential capacity overhang in the next couple of years,” said Tiger’s CEO, Koay Peng Yen, in a statement. The new order includes 13 options and Tiger has chosen Pratt & Whitney’s PW1000 engines for the aircraft.
