Transaero To Take 20 A330s

Russian carrier, Transaero Airlines, has signed a letter of intent to purchase 20 A330 aircraft from Airbus, including eight A330ceos and 12 A330neos.

The carrier, which announced the deal at the Farnborough Airshow last week, will use the aircraft to modernize its fleet and increase its medium and long-haul international and domestic services. The deal is worth $5.3bn at list prices.

The airline has not confirmed which engine will power its new A330ceos.
