Turkish Airlines Converts 737 Options

Turkish Airlines has converted options for 15 737 MAX 8 aircraft into firm orders with delivery scheduled for 2020, according to reports. The carrier reportedly made the statement in a filing to the Istanbul Stock Exchange. They are part of a $6.9bn order Turkish Airlines placed last year, when it committed to 40 of the aircraft with options for an additional 25. At present the airline operates a fleet of 95 Boeing aircraft, including 737-700s, 737-800s and 737-900s.
