ACC Aviation Group has acquired aviation consultancy Aerotask in a move it says will compliment its existing capabilities across ACMI leasing, aircraft charter and the aircraft seats aftermarket.
Aerotask, headquartered in Dubai in the UAE, offers asset management and advisory solutions to airlines, lessors, investors and financial institutions worldwide.
Phil Matthews, CEO at ACC, which is based in Reigate, said the acquisition is beneficial to the company for several reasons. “Aerotask reinforces our presence within the Middle East, expanding our existing revenue lines and allowing us to provide a market-leading end-to-end service offering to our global airline partners,” he said in the announcement made on Tuesday (Feb. 26).
“Through our cultural synergies and shared commitment to continued growth and development, we look forward to realising the potential of a strengthened organisation that is greater than the sum of its parts,” Matthews added.
Founded in 2013, Aerotask states on its website that it has 69 clients across 132 projects. Some of these include Falcon Aviation Services, Bombardier and low-cost carrier Vietjet.
Some of its recent activities have included remarketing a McDonnell Douglas MD-82 on behalf of an Asian client for an outright sale.
The company’s CEO Rob Watts added that the acquisition by ACC, which has an international office network spanning the UK, Europe, Middle East, North America and Asia-Pacific, will help accelerate business growth.
