HAMBURG—HAECO Cabin Solutions, the interiors specialist division of HAECO Americas, will supply centerline ceiling stowage (CCS) compartments as a line-fit option for Airbus A320 family aircraft.
Upon being selected by the aircraft manufacturer, Greensboro, North Carolina-based HAECO said that its cabin option will cover new A320 jets while also being available as a retrofit for newer in-service versions of the narrowbody aircraft from the first quarter of 2018.
A CCS is typically used to hold crew luggage, onboard wheelchairs, life rafts and other emergency equipment, among other items. It is configured for two positions on the A320 and three for the A321 version.
Richard Kendall, CEO of HAECO Americas and HAECO group director for cabin solutions, said supplying the CCS to Airbus is a milestone for the company, which became part of the Hong Kong-headquartered HAECO Group in 2014.
“Being an SFE supplier for the A320, known for innovative cabins of exceptionally high quality, affirms HAECO’s dedication to those same values in our products,” said Kendall.
