Skeyos Unveils Parts Trading Module

Company says aircraft parts and services buyers will be able to make comparisons between all sourcing options available to them.

FRANKFURT--Online MRO marketplace Skeyos has launched a new parts trading module which aims to revolutionize the way buy or repair decisions for aircraft components are made.

The company, established in Hamburg as an independent spinoff of Lufthansa Technik in January 2018, has unveiled the new module which has a comparison functionality for repairs and parts allowing the purchaser of either components or MRO services to compare and review what is available to them.

Skeyos says the module covers gives visibility in areas including pricing, product availabilities, certificates and terms of the transaction through one combined interface, which can either be integrated into existing IT environments or used as an independent platform.

Hans Bernd Schmidt, general manager at Skeyos, says previous methods have proven time consuming to customers. “Currently, airline purchasing managers have to manually compare the costs of repairing a part, buying used or contacting the OEM directly for a replacement part, each time requiring contact with several points of sale,” he says.

Hamburg-headquartered Skeyos says the introduction of the parts module gives purchasers access to 140,000 products in total.
