CRMA Industrializing New Repairs, Plans Expansion

The AFI KLM E&M subsidiary needs more space as it develops next-gen repairs.

CRMA, an AFI KLM E&M subsidiary and specialist in the repair of engine parts and aircraft components, commemorates its first 60 years in 2017, as it launches an ambitious expansion plan.

To keep pace with growth in its business activities, CRMA has launched project Apollo to extend its capacity. It recently developed capabilities for GEnx engines, the Boeing 787 powerplant, and is industrializing Rolls Royce engine part repairs, including some for the Trent XWB, which powers the Airbus A350.

After investing some €8 million, CRMA will see a 25% boost to its industrial capacity, including 2,500 square meters of additional surface area and new, ultra-modern equipment.

The new capacity is scheduled for delivery in the spring of 2018.

CRMA is based in Elancourt, southwest of Paris.
