A330 Training For Air Pacific Pilots

Air Pacific is conducting pilot training for those pilots who will fly its new A330 aircraft. The training, which is taking place at the Airbus Training Facility in Miami, Florida, is an intensive six week course that will see eight pilots get certified to fly the A330-200s. The transition training will cover everything from learning Airbus aircraft systems and fly-by-wire design philosophy to flight training in full motion and visibility flight simulators. More than 50 Air Pacific pilots are expected to undergo the transition training process that is required to move them from flying 747/767/737 aircraft to the new A330s, which will be delivered to the airline in March, May, and November.
