Norway-based engine MRO facility Aero Norway has been given UAE GCAA CAR 145 Maintenance Organisation Approval, allowing it to carry out MRO services engines for UAE-registered aircraft.
The certification covers services offered by the CFM authorized repair station on three engine types: the CFM56-3, CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B.
It adds to existing approvals from multiple regulators, including the FAA, EASA, TCCA and CAAC certification, which Aero Norway achieved at the end of 2016.
Glenford Marston, general manager at Stavanger-based Aero Norway, said the approval was driven by a surge in demand from Middle Eastern operators.
”We have recently moved to a shift working regime for our dedicated repair technicians and support staff, and securing GCAA approval demonstrates that our capabilities across core technical skills are recognised worldwide,” Marston said.
