AFI KLM E&M To Maintain Afriqiyah’s Engines

AFI KLM E&M and Afriqiyah Airways have signed an agreement covering the support for the CF680E1 engines of the airline’s two A330-200 aircraft. The contract will see AFI KLM E&M carry out ‘Time & Materials’ engine repairs on the aircraft; a further three new A330-200s will be added to the scope of the contract from Q4 2013 onwards. “AFI KLM E&M has extensive operational knowledge of the CF680E1 thanks to its parent’s experience as an operator, making it a quality alternative to the services of the OEM,” said Jalameddin Elarbed, Afriqiyah Airways power plant engineering manager.
