Vietnamese low-cost carrier Jetstar Pacific has signed a long-term agreement for AFI KLM E&M to provide component support for its fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft.
The airline currently operates fourteen of the narrowbodies and is expected to grow the figure to 30 jets by 2021.
The contract, which begins this month, covers component support and repairs plus access to a local spares pool located at its Ho Chi Minh City facility.
Coinciding with the deal, AFI KLM E&M subsidiary EPCOR has also signed a contract to cover faul overhauls for the APS3200 APUs equipping the Jetstar Pacific fleet.
“The cooperation with AFI KLM E&M will deliver significant cost improvements in maintenance and on-time performance as well as providing a more comfortable flight experience for passengers,” said Nguyen Quoc Phuong, CEO of Jetstar Pacific.
Fabrice Defrance, senior vice president commercial AFI KLM E&M, added that the group hopes the contract marks the beginning of a long-term partnership.
