Flag carrier Air India is to open two new MRO facilities in Hyderabad and Nagpur.
Air India Engineering Services, the maintenance arm of the government-run airline, will carry out services on Air India’s fleet.
Air India confirmed the Hyderabad facility, near Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, will be able to accommodate two narrowbody and one widebody aircraft.
The Nagpur facility will cater for its Airbus and Boeing fleet, as well as regional aircraft. Air India expects both facilities to be operational “within a few weeks”.
