AJW Expands Contract With Icelandic LCC

New agreement will encompass A320neo, A321neo narrrowbodies.

AJW Group has expanded its power-by-the-hour agreement with Icelandic low-cost carrier Wow Air to oversee the Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft types.

Under the terms of the contract announced on Tuesday (Oct. 3), the UK-headquartered component specialist will manage the requirements of the aircraft along with the engines types that power them – the PW100G and the CFM LEAP-1A.

The extended contract will see an additional three of the next-generation jets enter the AJW portfolio.

“WOW air’s decision to add their next generation aircraft and engines marks the latest phase in a longstanding partnership which stretches back to their launch, and has supported their impressive growth since that time,” said Christopher Whiteside, president and CEO of AJW Group.

The original PBH contract between the parties was signed in 2013 for A320 family aircraft, before being extended to encompass additional A321 jets in 2015 and summer 2017.
