AJW Plans Gatwick Warehouse Growth

Expansion of the facility at its UK headquarters will effectively double size of the location.

UK parts specialist AJW Group will expand its 375,000 square feet warehouse global headquarters near London Gatwick Airport in response to growing demand.

As part of the strategy, AJW has been granted planning permission by the local authority to expand its secondary warehouse at the site by a further 175,000 square feet, in a move it says will effectively double the size of the facility.

The location is the firm’s principal inventory hub for distributing commercial aircraft spare parts across the world and AJW says the extra storage space will quicken its response to operational demand from its global customer base.

Christopher Whiteside, president and CEO of AJW, said the company is pleased to make the additional investment in its “world class” warehouse facility.

AJW started operating from the site in 2012, where along with the parts center, it also serves as the administrative headquarters of the business where it coordinates contracts with airlines across the world.
