AJW Group has signed a component repair contract with U.S. airline Allegiant Air covering 150-part numbers.
The agreement will see work carried out at its AJW Technique MRO facility based in Montreal, Canada. By 2020, the partnership will cover up to 100 Airbus A320 aircraft in the Las Vegas-headquartered airline’s fleet.
Under the terms of the contract, Allegiant will also have access to a full pool of A320 forward exchange spares material.
Gavin Simmonds, chief operating officer, AJW Group, said he expects the partnership to result in positive operational changes for Allegiant.
“We have seen through our work with other low-cost carriers the transformational impact that can be achieved through a strategic approach to component MRO, and we are confident that we can further enable many of these benefits for Allegiant,” he said.
