AMES Gets New $15.5m Hangar

Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services (AMES), along with the Clinton County Port Authority, says it has completed the necessary arrangements to proceed with the financing and construction of a new $15.5m hangar facility at the Wilmington Air Park. Construction of the 100,000ft2 hangar is scheduled to begin this month and will take approximately 12-14 months to complete. It will be owned by the Port Authority and occupied by AMES. The new facility increases AMES’ hangar capacity by almost 50 per cent.
