ANA Introduces MPL Training

ANA says it is to introduce multi-crew pilot license (MPL) training into its pilot education programme. MPL is specifically designed for aircraft cockpits crewed by two pilots and was introduced in 2006 by the International Civil Aviation Organization. The airline will outsource this additional training to Lufthansa Flight Training, to commence in summer 2014. ANA says the advantages of MPL include a significant reduction in training time and the acquisition of additional airline operations skills.
