ARSA Cautions Congress On Sequestration

The Aeronautical Repair Station Association’s (ARSA) VP of legislative affairs, Daniel Fisher, has released a statement in response to reports that sequestration could delay more than 1,400 ongoing aircraft and parts manufacturing projects and force furloughs for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) employees. He says: “Sequestration will hit the aviation hard. In particular, it will exacerbate certification and inspection delays for repair stations, hindering job creation and economic growth,” adding that he “strongly encourages congressional leaders to avoid the automatic budgets cuts set to go into effect because of sequestration.”
