ATR has inaugurated its new maintenance site at Toulouse-Francazal airport after France’s civil aviation authority certified the turboprop manufacturer as a maintenance organisation.
Following the certification by OSAC, ATR will carry offer maintenance services to aircraft operators.
Services will also include Part-147 training for airline technicians. The Toulouse-Francazal site will also house two prototype aircraft – ATR 42-600 and ATR 72-600 – for testing and analysing new technologies.
Patrick de Castelbajac, ATR’s CEO, said the new facility is vital for supporting the OEM’s growth.
“Technicians from around the world will come to train at Toulouse-Francazal airport thanks to these Part 145 and 147 certifications,” he said. “We can provide our customers with quality services, while at the same time continuously improving the operational reliability of our aircraft.”
