Cardiff Aviation buys European Skybus

Cardiff Aviation has acquired European Skybus flight training from the European Aviation Group for an undisclosed sum. The centre is approved to perform type ratings for 747 aircraft, including for 747-200, -300 combis and 747-400s. "For the time being, the flight training centre will remain located at Bournemouth International Airport [BOH] on the south coast of the United Kingdom, but we are likely to incorporate it into our base at St Athan, South Wales in due course," Mario Fulgoni, joint CEO of Cardiff Aviation, said. Cardiff Aviation’s South Wales base is set in a 132,000ft2 hangar space capable of parking up to 20 narrowbody commercial aircraft.
