China Eastern To Service Honeywell APUs

China Eastern Airlines has been authorised to provide repairs on Honeywell’s 131-9 auxiliary power unit (APU).

The approval allows China Eastern to maintain the 131-9A/B APUs on its fleet of A320 and 737NG aircraft, as well as offer services to third parties.

Shanghai headquartered China Eastern, which launched budget airline China United in July, will now be able to provide MRO services to other airlines in China, Hong Kong and Macau.

Honeywell will provide China Eastern with engineering support as part of the deal.
