Czech Airlines Technics (CSAT) has announced five new line maintenance customers, including American Airlines, Cyprus Airways, Air Cairo and Go2Sky, all of which operate their flights from Václav Havel Airport in Prague.
CSAT mechanics will also provide line maintenance services for Russia low-cost carrier Pobeda, servicing the airline’s route to Moscow from Airport Karlovy Vary. This year, the MRO expanded its capabilities in Karlovy Vary to include on-call line maintenance to customers.
The American Airlines contract covers its Boeing 767-300 aircraft, which began operating routes from Prague last month. Cyprus Airways, which is flying Prague to Larnaca from this month, will have its Airbus A319 aircraft serviced by CSAT. Air Cairo’s A320 flying from Prague to Egypt will be covered while Slovakian charter carrier Go2Sky’s 737-400 on lease to Czech Airlines for summer 2018 will receive line services.
CSAT has also received two new certificates allowing it to confirm aircraft post line maintenance operational readiness. The first certificate was awarded by the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority. The second certificate was issued by Mongolian authorities for MIAT Mongolian Airlines.
