Etihad Airways Buys ADAT From Mubadala

Mubadala Development has sold Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT) to Etihad Airways. Engine MRO activities will remain under ADAT’s control, and an additional engine company is to be started at the site. Etihad will gain maintenance teams, hangars, component workshops and paint facilities in Abu Dhabi under the deal. The airline expects the new facility to service A380s and 787s – the latter type is set for deployment with Etihad in late 2014.
