FAA Recalls Workers But Delivery Bottleneck Continues

Almost $1.5 billion of aircraft deliveries have been delayed by the US government shutdown, which has shuttered the FAA’s aircraft registry office in Oklahoma. Although the FAA is recalling 800 furloughed workers this week, close to a third of the body’s employees remain at home. The FAA registry in Oklahoma City normally registers about 10,000 aircraft per month, according to the National Business Aviation Association.
