The Indonesian subsidiary of FL Technics has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Jakarta-based maintenance specialist GMF AeroAsia to cooperate on aircraft maintenance, engineering services and spare parts supply.
Under the terms of the agreement, FL Technics Indonesia and GMF AeroAsia will collaborate on the aircraft services along with sharing best practices in areas such as MRO process management, customs clearance and new market development.
The cooperation will also focus on the two parties working together during peak periods to ensure “smooth and timely” service of customers.
The new MoU follows previous cooperations between both parties involving component supply and engine maintenance.
“By combining our efforts and resources, both our teams will be able to achieve even more ambitious goals,” said Martynas Grigalavicius, CEO of FL Technics Indonesia, which launched in 2016 and services 737 and A320 Family aircraft from its facility at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
Grigalavicius added: “Moreover, our European experience and know-how together with GMF’s competence in local markets will allow us to provide exceptional support to airlines in Indonesia and the rest of Asia Pacific.”
