GA Telesis Acquires, Tears Down An A319

Florida firm takes its latest mature Airbus narrowbody.

GA Telesis has acquired an Airbus A319-100 aircraft for disassembly from SMBC.

Work on tearing down the jet has commenced at its Florida base with components routed to its key distribution facilities.

The inventory will be used in support of the GA Telesis iGEAR, SNAP and ACCESS programs across the company’s airline customers worldwide.

“We have a significant pipeline of airframe and engine inventory scheduled for 2017”, said Jason Reed, president of GA Telesis.

“In just the past sixty days, we have acquired three A319/A320s, one A330, several 737NGs, one 757 and four 777s, along with their respective engines, to support our inventory needs; all of which will be disassembled in Q1 2017,” he added.
