GATES Wins Transaero Engine Repair Contract

Russian airline Transaero Airlines has awarded GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES) a 10-year contract to provide engine repair and overhaul services for the 62 General Electric CF6-80C2 engines that power its 767 and 747 fleets. The contract is valued at up to $500m. The maintenance will be performed at the GATES MRO facilities in Helsinki, Finland. The first Transaero engine will be inducted this month. The scope of the contract includes core performance restoration & overhaul, life limited parts replacement, maintenance procedures between overhauls along with on-wing maintenance.
